RULES
FOR COSMIC CONSEQUENCES
OBJECT
OF GAME
| In
Cosmic Consequences (CC) you win if you complete a journey around
the universe/board arriving at the first-three-minutes with your
accumulated tiger and dragon having equal value, in other words
summing to zero, (tiger cards are positive and dragon cards are
negative) or you accumulate exactly five cards that sum to zero .In
Hyper-Cosmic Consequences (HCC) you may only win by both completing
your journey and accumulating five cards that sum to zero.
|
| When
you leave the Big Bang you are awarded a card from the top of the
deck. You may discard this card, according to the discard rules
below; to any player that has already had their first turn.
|
| To
end your journey you do not return to the Big Bang but advance to
the First-Three-Minutes region through the intergalactic space
adjacent to the Big bang.
|
| If
you are not playing HCC, each time a player completes the journey
without a zero sum of cards in their hand all other player must
return to the Big Bang and the game continues with the player in the
First-Three-Minutes region getting another turn to start the next
journey around. If you are playing HCC a player must have a zero sum
of cards when they reach the first three minutes to send other
players back to the Big Bang.
|
| A
simpler way to play is without cards, then the first player to
complete the journey and arrive in the First-Three-Minutes spaces
wins. In this case, if one player completes the journey but misses
the first three minutes all other players return to the Big Bang and
the player that completes the journey gets another turn to start
another journey.
|
| You
may also play with cards but only to jump. In this case, the cards
in your hand do not have to sum to zero to win, but to win all cards
in your hand must be flipped to their number side when you reach the
first three minutes. |
|
| If
you are playing with cards, you are awarded special powers each time
you send other players back to the Big bang by arriving in the first
three minutes. In the board game, you may take one of three powers
that have not been taken by another player. In the computer game you
are awarded powers in the order below depending on the entropy level
of the game.
|
| In
the board game, you roll and may choose any number in a range from
one to the top numbers of the die. You must avoid Intergalactic
Space and the Wormhole to keep this power.
|
| In
the computer game, your turns do not count or increase entropy.
|
| You
may skip your turn if you do not like your roll, but must avoid
Hidden Dimensions to keep this power.
|
| You
may move forward or backwards on any of your turns, but must avoid
the Anthropic Principle to keep this power. |
| In
addition, if you send players to the Big Bang when playing HCC after
you send players back you may also use any of the cards of a zero
sum group to jump or cancel a consequence on any of your turns. |
| You
may play Cosmic Consequences without special powers if you wish. |
