JAPA’S FIZZICS STRONG FORCE: The proton and neutron and pion are made of particles called quarks. It is the quarks inside the proton and neutron that generate the strong force field. Unlike the electromagnetic force which has only one force charge, the strong force has three force charges and when all three charges are blended together the strong force is cancelled. Three quarks make up each proton and neutron, and each of these quarks carries one of the three strong force charges. Therefore each proton and neutron as a whole exhibit no strong force charge. But, when a proton gets close enough to a neutron a quark in the proton feels the charge on the quarks in the neutron. Then the quark tries to pull free of the proton in which it is bound, but the strong force binding the quark trying to break free from the other quarks inside the proton is as strong as the force it feels from the quarks inside the neutron. It is like the little quark is bound between two wild horses! Then pop, a pion is created. The pion is made of the little quark that wanted to be free and a new quark with an anti-strong force charge. The little quark at first is very happy to have escaped the proton and be on its way to visit the new friend to which it was so attracted. But the negatively charged quark greets first the newly freed quark's new friend, and with a pop and a flash they both disappear. Well, the little quark's defeat is even worse when it discovers the neutron has changed into a proton like the one it thought to escape! The Universe Is And One!
Weak
Force: You might
characterize the weak force as heavy light. It causes the decay of
neutrons into protons, electrons and neutrinos. It is transmitted by a
collection of mediating particles designated Z's and W's. The Z is
thought to be a photon made heavy. This insight suggest that the Z
particle and the photon are the same particles in different disguises
and that the electromagnetic force and the weak force are one force that
physicists have termed the electroweak force.

WEAK FORCE: As
mentioned the weak force has been united with the electromagnetic force
and the two are considered a single force termed the electroweak force.
To understand the electroweak force let's imagine there are two
archenemies, the Flash and the Cosmic Claw. Now the Flash has the
important job of keeping everything in the universe moving whereas the
Cosmic Claw wants to get the entire universe in its' cosmic clutches
especially the Flash. But the Flash can move so fast that the Cosmic
Claw can't even see her! To do her job the Flash must carry spheres of
energy from place and time to place and time in the universe. Now the
Cosmic Claw is not without powers of its' own! It can cause the very
weave of the universe to ripple like a strongman's muscles.
Unfortunately the Flash can not detect these ripples and when she runs
into them the energy-spheres she carries become heavy. The
energy-spheres made heavy slow the Flash down so she can be seen! Now
the Cosmic Claw has its' chance to take hold of the spirit-of-light and
darken the universe. But just as she is about to fall into the Cosmic
Claw's clutches she releases her burden of energy and flashes away
unseen. The electromagnetic force manifests when the Flash carries a
weightless or massless energy-sphere that physicists call a photon. The
Flash can carry the photon any distance and the Cosmic Claw will never
notice, The electromagnetic force becomes weak when the Cosmic Claw
creates what physicists call a Higgs field that ripples through the
universe like a strongman's muscles and makes the photon heavy. A heavy
photon is called a Z-boson and because it is heavy or has mass can not
be carried very far without the notice of the Cosmic Claw. The Cosmic
Claw has on its' side the Cosmic Law that demands that the total amount
of mass/energy in the universe must be conserved (never change). So when
the Flash carries a Z-boson she is breaking Cosmic Law! But there is a
loophole in the Cosmic Law that allows the Flash to carry the Z-boson a
very short distance before the Cosmic Claw can catch her. So at exactly
the right moment and point she changes the Z-boson into two very light
energy-spheres physicists call leptons and the Cosmic Claw is foiled
again and again! The Universe Is And One!
